Diane was raised in Newark, Ohio, and spent 38 years with Kaiser Aluminum before retiring. During her time there, she also managed bookkeeping duties for Layton Trucking, until the role grew into a full-time position.

 

Today, Diane continues to support Layton Services with her deep industry knowledge and experience, playing an important role in guiding future growth through a clear vision.

George hails from Utica, Ohio, and has been a part of the industry since 1984.

In 1994, while working in the field, he launched his own dump truck business hauling construction materials.

In 2006, George and his wife, Diane, expanded that business into excavation operations. 

What began as a small living room operation has since grown into a thriving team of over 50 employees and continues to expand into the future.

Since joining the family business in 2006, her role has grown from bookkeeping to overseeing office operations, accounting, client relations, and project coordination.

Since graduating from Newark Catholic High School in 2007, Troy has climbed the ranks from Laborer to Director of Operations. Driven by hands-on experience, Troy has transformed field knowledge into strategic operational leadership. Troy is a valuable asset to our team through his ability to navigate complex project demands with results-driven solutions that keeps projects moving forward.

Colin is a graduate of the University of Northwestern Ohio with a degree in Business, Diesel High Performance. He began his career at Layton Services as a Laborer/Operator and quickly earned a reputation for his hands-on skill and a deep understanding of machinery. As the company's need for a full-time mechanic grew, he became the clear choice. Now serving as Shop Manager, he oversees equipment maintenance, fleet performance, and daily shop operations.

Josh proudly served four years in the United States Marine Corps followed by another four years in the Ohio National Guard, where he specialized as a Heavy Equipment Operator. His experience, combined with his leadership and professionalism, helped shape our Project Engineer position. 

In 2023, Josh seamlessly transitioned into Human Resources bringing his leadership to a critical internal role.

Michaella grew up in Licking County, Ohio, with a background in construction and business operations. She supports the Controller with project-specific coordination and accounting tasks, ensuring smooth processes behind the scenes. Michaella also brings creativity to the team through her involvement in Layton Services marketing and social media presence.

Originally from Parkman, Ohio, Curtis began his career in 2002 as a laborer for family-run businesses. In 2013, he transitioned into Estimating and Project Management, where he began sharpening his skills in budgeting and planning. An opportunity in Colorado later allowed him to broaden his expertise as an Estimating Manager. 

Over the years, Curtis has become highly skilled at working closely with engineers and contractors to refine project scopes and provide accurate, actionable financial forecasts.

Ken earned his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from The Ohio State University and is a licensed Professional Engineer. Since joining Layton Services in 2012, he has played a key role in overseeing all aspects of project estimating. Ken brings a depth of experience that allows him to recognize the distinct demands of each project and adapt accordingly.

Joe launched his career with Layton Services as a Foreman in 2018, bringing decades of experience from leading competitors in the industry. 

As Layton Services expanded, Joe's extensive industry knowledge, ambition, and team-oriented mindset made him the natural choice for the role of Superintendent, where he continues to stand out as a valuable leader.
