Our field team is certified in OSHA Trenching and Excavation,
OSHA 10-hour and/or 30-hour Construction Safety and Health Certifications. As well as, efficiently utilizes the latest in GPS field surveying equipment and satellite grading controls to get the job done right. In the office, industry experience paired with the best in construction software allows us to give our clients the most project specific insight and value. This starts in pre-construction by developing relationships and providing responsible estimates to our clients.
The ability to service multiple projects in multiple locations comes from a dependable 50+ fleet of heavy equipment and service trucks. Our fleet is supported by an in-house team of professional mechanics. Protecting our projects from downtime, this team performs routine maintenance and has the capability to make on-site repairs when needed.

Diane grew up in Newark and worked for Kaiser Aluminum for 38 years before retiring. While working there, she maintained the bookkeeping for Layton Trucking until the role required a full time employee. With her extensive industry experience, Diane assists the company in future endeavors.
George is from Utica, Ohio. He has been in the excavation industry since 1984. While working in the field, George owned and operated his own trucking company starting in 1994. He and his wife, Diane, evolved the trucking business into their own excavation company in 2006. The company has grown from a living room operation to employing 50+ and continues to grow into the future.

Jordon graduated from Newark Catholic High School and The Ohio State University Fisher College of Business with a degree in Finance. She has been working in the family business since 2006. Her role has evolved from bookkeeping to managing the office, accounting, client relationships and project coordination.
Ken obtained his Bachelors of Science in Civil Engineering from The Ohio State University. He is a licensed professional engineer and has been with Layton Services since 2012. Ken oversees all aspects of estimating projects and ensuring efficiency of any project changes.
Josh served 4 years in The United States Marine Corps and 4 years in the Ohio National Guard as a heavy equipment operator. His construction experience, leadership strength and professionalism has helped us create the project engineer position. Josh has since transitioned into his current position with Human Resources while still being an overall helping hand within the company across the board.
Michaella grew up in Licking County, Ohio with a background in construction & business operations. She assists our Controller with project specific coordination & accounting. Her creativity & love for design has her playing a role in our marketing & social media presence. Michaella feels there's always more you can learn & experience in construction and she enjoys having the support from Layton Services to pursue that.
Troy graduated from Newark Catholic High School in 2007, and started working for the family business. Troy began as a laborer and has climbed the ladder to Superintendent. His work ethic, dedication and interpersonal skills are a great asset to the company.
Joe started as a foreman with Layton Services in 2018. He joined the team with decades of knowledge and experience from leading competitors. As the company grew, Joe became an obvious choice for the Superintendent role as his industry experience, ambition and team player attitude sets him apart.
